Workplace and Higher Education Investigator

About Me
I grew up in Auburn, Maine, one of just a few Jewish families in town, which sparked my lifelong curiosity about identity and how we perceive and treat those who are different from ourselves.
After exploring legal psychology in college, I attended law school in Boston and practiced employment law in Massachusetts and Vermont for several years. I eventually transitioned to investigations and workshops—where my collaborative, people-centered approach is best applied.
As both a licensed attorney in Massachusetts and Vermont and a licensed Professional Investigator in Maine, I'm a seasoned investigator of allegations of harassment, discrimination, and serious misconduct. I can conduct comprehensive, neutral investigations into your most challenging employment and higher education situations. I'm a proud Association of Workplace Investigators Certificate Holder (AWI-CH), the gold standard for conducting workplace investigations.
Before founding Mandy Levine Consulting in 2020, I:
-
practiced employment law for many years at law firms in Boston and Burlington, Vermont,
-
served as the Assistant Director of Civil Rights for the New England office of the Anti-Defamation League, and
-
acted as an HR Business Partner at Maine Medical Center.
I am grateful to have received the following honors and roles:
-
Member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Alliance of Southern Maine,
-
The 2021-2022 co-chair of the Diversity Hiring Coalition of Maine,
-
The 2019 recipient of the Holocaust and Human Rights Center of Maine's Distinguished Service Award,
-
The 2020 recipient of the Jewish Community Alliance of Southern Maine's Aronson Young Leadership Award,
-
One of ten 2022 honorees of Greenlight Maine's Elevating Voices, a documentary-style television show that celebrates entrepreneurs in Maine from diverse backgrounds contributing to the fabric of Maine's communities,
-
A Corporator of Bangor Savings Bank.
I live outside of Portland, Maine, with my family, my cat Mittens, and my puppy Hazel. In my free time, I enjoy reading psychological thrillers, cooking everything I can in my air fryer, and taking walks in my beautiful small Maine town.
