We contracted with Mandy Levine Consulting to provide Diversity and Inclusion training for the KMA team. Mandy’s presentation was engaging, enlightening and extremely valuable in confronting unconscious bias, and recognizing that embracing diversity benefits everyone in the workplace -- and beyond. Mandy’s expertise with this complex and potentially fraught subject allowed for a delivery that was candid and clear, yet relaxed and comfortable. The feedback from my team has been overwhelmingly positive.

Mandy provided our company with a dynamic, insightful, and highly accessible training on implicit bias. Mandy was able to keep the training engaging and interactive, which is no small feat when presenting virtually to a large group you have never met before. The quality of content of her training was exactly what we were looking for. Our expectations were not only met, they were exceeded.
I highly recommend Mandy’s training to challenge you and your team’s understanding of equity and inclusivity in the workplace.

Few people find the prospect of diversity training terribly exciting, especially when they assume they've already built an inclusive and harmonious workplace.  But we found our time with Mandy Levine to be far more than simply "checking the box".  Her engaging and transparent approach, sharing personal experiences and pulling us into her narrative, enabled our group to more clearly perceive our daily interactions through the eyes of both our colleagues and clientele.  These are invaluable discussions, especially at a time when we are all increasingly aware of the effort required to maintain societal cohesion, and for a company - that can translate directly into productivity.  Mandy's the one you want leading those discussions.

I can't say enough great things about Mandy Levine's DEI work.  South Portland first hired Mandy to facilitate anti- bias and prejudice trainings for 100 of our employees in 2019 and, in the 4 years since then, Mandy has continued to facilitate trainings for South Portland staff annually.  Mandy's trainings are incredibly effective: employees who are reluctant going in are on board coming out as Mandy is knowledgeable, approachable, and makes participants feel at ease during difficult conversations.  We have even received feedback from staff who acknowledged that they typically are unethusiastic about trainings that they are excited to attend Mandy's tranings thanks to her positive and approachable style.    Mandy also conducted an investigation for South Portland as a Professional Investigation and she conducted this work in an exceptionally professional, neutral manner.  I highly recommend her.

Mandy spent time with our team to really get to know who we were. From there she was able to specifically cater her materials to make a lasting impact in the areas of support we needed.  She is genuine, honest and caring and her approach to sometimes difficult to approach topics made everyone feel comfortable and open to learning.

Mandy Levine was recommended to us for Diversity and Inclusion training.  Our team was so impressed with Mandy’s extensive knowledge and experience.  Her training was valuable in bringing more awareness to the potential impact of unconscious bias and prejudice. Her presentation style was fun, relatable, interactive, and informative.  This training will serve as a starting point for our team to continue learning and expanding our knowledge and practices around diversity and inclusion.

We contracted with Mandy to do her Understanding Bias and Prejudice seminar for our entire organization after hearing glowing reviews from an industry trade group.  Understanding the importance of this topic, we have previously used off-the-shelf content delivered via eLearning or webinars.  What a difference Mandy makes!  Although we chose to hold the sessions virtually via Zoom rather than gathering people into a large room, Mandy used chat and polls to keep participants engaged throughout the session.  She creates a safe space for people to share without forcing participation or putting anyone on the spot.  The feedback we received from our employees has been overwhelmingly positive and we have already initiated talks with her to discuss “what’s next.”  We look forward to continuing our work with Mandy to delve deeper into the subjects that will help us be better, do better – not only for our employees, but for our customers as well.

We are a fast-growing Architecture + Construction company that works with clients all over greater Portland and beyond.  As we expand, we are experiencing more and more diversity with our staff, our clients and the projects we take on.  The timing seemed just right to do a training on Prejudice, Diversity and Inclusion.  We called Mandy with our request and she came prepared and positive. She touched on such sensitive topics with such genuineness, humility and grace that it opened up the entire room for conversation and engagement.  I have had constant feedback from our team about how much they appreciated and learned from the workshop, and some are wondering if she will be back to do another training.  I hope so.

Mandy is extremely well prepared as a calm subject matter expert and facilitator through her broad work experiences. Her demeanor in training allows attendees to open up, ask questions and explore challenging topics while respecting what each attendee brings with them and embracing each person’s will to learn in the most productive way.

The two hours of training with Mandy went quickly, with a new discovery every few minutes. This training is the opposite of “shelfware”, it is something I will undoubtedly go back to in the future to practice at a deeper level.

What do class participants say?

Mandy did a great job.  It is not easy getting class participation on Zoom, but her format, and the way she presented really energized the group.  There was great participation in a subject most people don’t dare to ask questions on and that was all due to Mandy’s style."
